The role of the Akron-Canton Advocacy Alliance is to ensure that our region receives a strong share of state investment by prioritizing projects that positively impact economic, community, and workforce development.

For projects in Summit, Portage, or Medina Counties, please refer to the GAC documents.
For projects in Stark County, please refer to the CRCC documents.
As a legislative process, the most important thing organizations seeking funding can do is communicate directly with their state legislators. Once the House and Senate applications are made public, we will proactively make them available to anyone who engages in one or both of the below Task Force processes.
The Process
The Greater Akron Chamber (GAC) and Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce (CRCC) will convene their respective Capital Budget Task Force comprised of business, higher education, economic development, and nonprofit leaders. One of their responsibilities is to solicit, review, and recommend priority projects for Community Project Funding.
