Background
The State of Ohio's biennial capital budget provides appropriations for state agency infrastructure costs and local or regional community projects. The role of the Akron-Canton Advocacy Alliance is to ensure that our region receives a strong share of state investment by prioritizing projects that positively impact economic, community, and workforce development.

The Process
The House and Senate released formal guidance and application information for those interested in pursuing State Capital Budget Community Project Funding.
Applications for Community Project Funding are due on March 12, 2026.
We strongly encourage you complete and submit sooner rather than later and to communicate directly with your elected officials about your project. Click here to identify your legislators and contact John Rizzo, VP, ACAA if you have questions or need assistance in contacting your legislators.
Please note that the House and Senate are using the same forms this year, meaning that you will only need to fill out one form as you prepare to submit to the appropriate state legislators.
State Capital Budget Info Session
Listen back to an information session detailing the Community Projects Funding opportunity, including rules and guidelines, eligibility requirements, and other information to help you determining whether your projects align with the program requirements.
Archive
